pm - 4pm

Drawing (Paper) Show is an exhibition and a special edition of the Drawing Paper (issue number 9), showcasing the diverse and varied drawings of 50 artists from around the world, including local North West artists.

The exhibition features the work of artists who applied to an open call via instagram, whose work could be described as drawing for drawing’s sake.

Drawing is sometimes considered as a preliminary practice to more important ends. Our focus here is on drawing as a dialogue between artist and viewer, via the marks made, to engage, transport, inform, and excite; exploring drawing as its own end point.

The exhibiting artists are Alex Wolkowicz, Amanda Ravetz, Anna Huttonartist, Arthur Roberts, Athena Jones, Bryan Biggs, Camille Smithwick, Caragh Savage, Carriage Return, Christina Rose Brown, Colette Lilley, Cristina Celestini, Curtis Holder, Daksha Patel, Emma Withers, Gabriela Vargas Telaya, Gail Altschuler, Gary Clough, Garner Harry, Inês-Hermone, James Robert Morrison, Jason Thompson, Jim Grant, Jonathan Stockley, Joseph Schneider, Julia Midgley, Julie lawrence, Kaja Stumpf, Kate Genever, Lesley Halliwell, Lizzie Thurman, Lucy Pass, Maree Hensey, Mark Clay, Matthew Timmins-Williams, Mike Carney, Naomi Kendrick, Natalia Kulka, Neal Vaughan, Nickson Kimaro, Nutsa Gogaladze, Penny Davenport, Ruby Wright, Sarah Jane Richards, Silvia Battista, Tansy Lee Moir, Tessa Maiden, Tomo, Tricia Gillman, Jon Barraclough

Drawing (Paper) Show is curated by Colette Lilley, Sarah Jane Richards of the previous Drawing Shows and Jon Barraclough and Mike Carney of the Drawing Paper. It will be installed at The Bridewell Studios and Gallery (a Grade 2 Listed building), to coincide with the Liverpool Biennial 2023, Friday 21st July until Sunday 13th August.
